Shaun is a surf lifeguard and has years of experience on the beach as a international SLS competitor and lifesaver.
Adam is a Level 2 Coach, Trainer/Assessor and surf lifeguard. He rowed competitively for 12 years before focusing on club development. He is also the club's Safeguarding Officer.
Ian is an Level 2 Coach, Trainer/Assessor and surf lifeguard. He is an experienced outdoor swimmer and helps run our Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
Gail was the first female professional surf lifeguard in the UK and is still qualified. She completed internationally in the full range of life saving sport, especially surf ski paddling.
Naomi is a qualified Level 2 coach, Trainer/Assessor and Surf Lifeguard. Naomi assesses lifeguards to requalify year on year working closely with the RNLI.
Gary is our main surf boat sweep and gear steward. He has represented GB many times and is a World Champion in beach flags.
Will is one of our coaches and also acts as a liaison with our external partners, such as the local parish council, Cornwall Council and Truro School.
Will is our RNLI Liaison Officer and a qualified surf lifeguard. He also helps coach our junior and nipper sections.
John is a vastly experienced lifesaver and competitor, for many years acting as Head Lifeguard at Porthtowan. He is also a Life Member of our club.
Kerry is our Treasurer and membership secretary, as well as helping in the water during nippers
Nick Healey helps run our surf boat teams. He is a World and European Champion surf rower as well as an experienced SUP, wind and kite surfer.
JR and Norm are two of our active life members. They provide advice and guidance with their vast experience of lifesaving at Porthtowan.
