SURF LIFEGUARD TRAINING
Each year we train and assess Surf Lifeguards to SLSGB standards
Participants must be club members, be at least16 years +, be physically fit and able to swim 400 metres in 7mins 30 seconds. Course fee is £30
Our training courses take at least 40 hours, including online units, swimming pool sessions, first aid and CPR as well as time spent in all sea conditions at Porthtowan. We run 1 course a year from April to June. Prospective participants must be aware there is an expectation to volunteer for safety cover and help with our nipper and junior sections.
